Product Manager

ROOMDEX is a product driven company, as such the Product Manager has a central position bridging engineering abilities and operational efficiency. The Product Manager ensures that our products solve the needs of our customers and delight them. You ensure that requirements from end users are consistently translated to target and solve the true underlying root causes and you will not shy away from healthy debate. You ensure that product initiatives are prioritized for their advancement and completion of the overall product vision. You will ensure that iterative product releases help identify the best next phases through data or through user feedback. You work closely with engineering to deliver winning products. 

You will also work with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. You will work closely with analysts, can formulate questions with accuracy, and know how to interpret the results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following):

  • Have deep understanding of the hotel and travel industries
  • Work in close dialogue with customers and identify opportunities with the biggest gains
  • Understand the product vision and prioritize accordingly
  • Deliver intuitive solutions
  • Formulate the benefits of newly released products
  • Work in close dialogue with engineers and adapt products as needed, to ensure scalability
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Regularly perform internal product demos
  • Assist in demos with external customers
  • Help develop sales tools and collateral
  • Brief and train the client service and sales team

What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in Hotel Operations or Revenue management
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a product role (start-up experience is a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hotel or General Management School, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with messaging protocols and structures (HTTPs, XML, JSON, etc) commonly used in the industry
  • Good understanding of data and sensitive components
  • Working knowledge of SQL is a plus
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Must be able to travel occasionally
